The Proteomics Alliance for Cancer Research (PACR) was established in
2002 with the overall goal of making proteomics analyses more
informative for biological and clinical studies by improving the
sensitivity, reproducibility, quantifiability of results through the use
of newly emerging technologies. PACR also develops and enhances
databases and data mining for proteomics bioinformatics. PACR strives to
apply these technologies to proteomic analysis of specific cancers and
cancer model systems. Dr. Gilbert S. Omenn is the Principal Investigator
for PACR.
Corporate collaborations and small company growth in proteomics and its
applications have been enhanced in Michigan through the research of the
Proteomics Alliance for Cancer Research investigators.
