Research: 

My research interests are in mathematical neuroscience and biological rhythms. My dissertation was on modeling the electrophysiology of the mammalian circadian clock and statistical inference of functional connectivity from multi-neuronal spike trains. At MBI, I am using dynamical systems analysis tools to study the neuronal bursting underlying breathing, the role of mitochondrial excitability in stroke, and generalized rivalry networks.
