• Assembly and analysis of  Solexa and 454 sequencing data.
  
• Analysis of microarray data.
• Integration of various diverse data types.          
  
• Assistance in writing computational/bioinformatics aspects of  grants.
• Training and assistance with main bioinformatics concepts, and on the usage of various bioinformatics tools and databases.

Cost

 The UM Bioinformatics Analysis Core will work with Researchers in the following ways:

1. Recharge for individual projects or isolated work.  The current cost per hour is being finalized by Financial Analysis, but will likely be around $80 per hour.  Typical analysis for Next-Generation sequencing will take 8-12 hours total time.  Projects and cost estimates will be discussed at the initial consultation (free)
2. We will assist researchers in preparing bioinformatics support for grant applications.  If the research project will use significant  bioinformatics support, we will assist in writing that portion of research grants and then use a portion of the grant support to fund individuals who will work on that grant if/when funded.
