The NCIBI project file shares

NCIBI file shares are now online.  These shares are served by the recently purchased ONStor network attached storage devices.

These shares can be accessed via a CIFS client (i.e., as a Windows file share).  The shares are available to machines behind the CCMB firewall or machines connected by a VPN connection.  Instructions for connecting via VPN from Windows may be found here.

The NCIBI share is available through either of two paths:

 \\bicc.med.umich.edu\CCMB\NCIBI or \\NCIBI-FS1\NCIBI.  You may map a drive to either path to access this resource.  This share is also available on our Linux servers Eniac, NCIBI-COMP1, and NCIBI-COMP2. The path to the share under Linux is /ccmb/NCIBI.

Daily snapshots are taken on this volume for file recovery.  The snapshots are located in each folder in a hidden folder named ".snapshot".  Each daily snapshot is kept for seven days.
